It is truly something special. This beautiful town sedan is a very rare late 1931 Ford with only 560 built from the total number of cars built between 1928 & 1931. This Briggs 160B was Imported in September 2013 & has undergone a chassis up restoration over a period of more than two years to better than original condition. It has been restored with the addition of numerous safety and driveability upgrades to help it meet the expectations of modern road users and the authorities too. All the hundreds of new parts involved in the project were imported from the USA. The complete broadcloth interior has been purchased from the original suppliers, Le Barron Bonney in Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA. Any part that wasn't available was either rebuilt or fabricated. Some of the new parts include the three core radiator, Float-a-Motor engine mounts, new flathead engine, new clutch, flywheel, starter motor & ring gear built in Los Angeles, 12 Volt conversion with new alternator, FSI Ignition system, Weber carby and manifold designed in the USA. This Briggs 160B has been retro-fitted with a fully imported Mitchell Synchro 3 speed transmission and differential splitter. Among the new parts are the running boards, genuine Ash roof bows, steering damper, hydraulic shocks front and rear. new brakes, together with cast iron drums front and rear retaining the original mechanical brakes. A full set of 1935 Ford 16 inch wire wheels with white wall tyres were imported from California. No expense was spared in the restoration of this car. The restoration was completed in April 2016 and since that time this Model A has won multiple awards at some of the most prestigious shows in the State. Best Restored Original. Peoples Choice.
